1st Annual FBA & Family Golf Classic

The District 8 Florida Bandmasters Association (FBA) has partnered with the Marks Foundation, Inc. and 1st Class Tournaments, LLC to bring you the 1st Annual “FBA & Family Golf Classic”. This is you official invitation to this event. FBA is a non-profit organization in support of school band programs in the state of Florida. Its membership is made up of band directors and band supporters in Florida and throughout the country. Proceeds from the golf tournament will help to reduce assessment fees that middle school and high school student/parents must pay in order to participate in the seven annual music performance assessments.

This event will be held this year at the highly-acclaimed Shingle Creek Golf Club on Saturday, September 25, 2010. The Tournament begins with a warm-up on the driving range from 7:00 a.m. – 7:45 a.m. Registration begins at 7:00 a.m. The Classic then tees off at 8 a.m. with a shotgun start. Following completion of the round, there will be an awards luncheon from approx. 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.

“This will be a sensational day of golf and a magnificent day of fund-raising,” says Dave Scott, Director of Golf at Shingle Creek Golf Club. “We are honored to host this prestigious event and recognize the benefits it provides to those High School and Middle Bands that are associated with it.”

Individual and Foursome Packages are still available at reduced pricing.

The Individual Player Package has been reduced from to $60, includes 18 holes of golf, range balls, valet parking, a goodie bag full of brand name products & one Driver’s Club Membership. The Foursome Package has been reduced to $220, includes the same components as the Individual Player Package, but for four people. A special Two Foursome Package has been also been created and is priced at $400.
